Sally Martin

Dr Sally Martin is a Clinical Psychologist since 2008 working with people with a range of mental health problems.  She works primarily with adults and can help with mild to moderate mental health difficulties, including:

  • Low mood or depression
  • Worry or anxiety
  • Adjustment difficulties
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Parenting difficulties
  • Obsessive compulsive disorder
  • Post-traumatic stress
  • Panic disorder

Sally’s specialist interest is perinatal and parent infant psychology and works part time in the NHS in a perinatal mental health team. She has extensive experience of working with loss, trauma, parenting difficulties and adjustment problems. Sally can also work with parents and children under the age of three years old.

She completed an undergraduate psychology degree from the University of Edinburgh and then a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from UCL. She is a member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).  Sally is trained in a variety of therapeutic models and approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-based Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) and Eye Movement Desensitation Reprocessing (EMDR).  She uses an integrative approach, using the evidence based models outlined above, which means that she tailors her therapeutic approach depending on the client’s circumstances, needs and preferences.
