Roshan Khanal

Roshan is a Lead Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist with extensive experience in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of musculoskeletal and sports injuries. He has a special interest in the management of back pain, neck pain, shoulder, elbow and wrist pain, hip and knee conditions, as well as other neuromuscular disorders. He works collaboratively with each patient to understand their goals and develop personalised, evidence-based treatment plans that support recovery, improve function and promote long-term wellbeing.

Roshan has extensive clinical experience within the NHS and private practice. He has worked as an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist in GP services, where he assesses, diagnoses and manages complex musculoskeletal conditions. His role has involved triaging patients, identifying those who require further investigations or specialist referral, and ensuring they receive the most appropriate care. In addition to his clinical work, he has served as a Clinical Mentor, supporting and developing physiotherapists in their professional practice.

Alongside his BSc in Physiotherapy, Roshan holds an MSc in Sport and Exercise Science and continues to undertake postgraduate training in Advanced Practice and First Contact Practitioner (FCP) roles within the NHS. This combination of qualifications and experience enables him to take a holistic approach to patient assessment and rehabilitation, combining clinical expertise with the latest evidence in exercise science and musculoskeletal care.

Roshan is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and empowering individuals to understand their condition, regain confidence in movement and return to the activities that matter most to them.

His contributions to the profession have been recognised through several awards and achievements. In 2022, he received the International Excellence Award from the University of Essex. More recently, he was recognised for delivering specialist training on Shoulder Pain to more than 100 international physiotherapists in India.
