Dr Asha Praseedom is a Consultant Psychiatrist in Cambridge.
She started her training in psychiatry in Edinburgh and completed it in Cambridge. In 2006 she was appointed Consultant Psychiatrist and Clinical Lead for the Cambridge Psychiatric Rehabilitation Service. She has been part of the inpatient psychiatric services in Cambridge since 2013.
Dr Praseedom is vice-chair of the Rehabilitation and Social Psychiatry Faculty at the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Her interests include Psychological therapies, EMDR, perinatal mental health, mental health law, and medical leadership.
An initial assessment involves a face-to-face consultation are charged £350 and can last up to 1.5 hours. Depending on the case’s complexity, a longer assessment may be necessary. Follow-up appointments usually last 30 minutes and are charged £200.
