We are very pleased to announce that Yu Sun has joined Salus Wellness this month.
Dr Yu Sun is a qualified acupuncturist and massage practitioner, member of The Acupuncture Society. She works primarily with individuals who are looking for natural, holistic solutions and who may feel that conventional approaches have not fully addressed their health concerns.
What makes Dr Sun’s practice truly unique is her rare combination of over twenty years of biomedical research and training in traditional Chinese medicine. Dr Sun holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Engineering (Herb Modernisation), and a Master’s in Pharmacology from Guangdong Medical University, along with a patent in herb modernisation for osteoporosis therapy. She holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the Norwich Medical School studying chemotherapy resistant and completed postdoctoral research at the UK Dementia Research Institute, Addenbrooke’s Hospital studying neurodegenerative diseases. Her research has been published in leading journals including Blood, Oncogene, Nature Neuroscience and Nature. At the same time, she has trained extensively in acupuncture and Tui Na massage in the UK.
