£50 for a 50 minutes session
Katie Parker is a fully qualified Integrative Arts Psychotherapist. Arts Psychotherapy can help many different people with all kinds of life difficulties. Katie provides a safe, contained space where feelings and thoughts can be explored in an empathic, non-judgemental environment. Katie has experience in working with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, attachment, trauma, illness, bereavement, low self-esteem, sexuality issues, bipolar disorders and personality disorders.
She studied for her MA in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy for four years at the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education, London. Use of art in therapy can enable discoveries and change. By using art materials, musical instruments, puppets and body processes, feelings and thoughts can be developed and better understood. You do not need to be an artist or have ever used art materials to benefit from arts psychotherapy. The proportion of talking versus art making is dependent on you.
Katie is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council(HCPC) and The British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT). She is also a member with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) registered as a trainee. Katie is proactive with continuing professional development and is regularly supervised by a UKCP Supervisor.Sessions cost £50 for a 50 minute appointment, which can be negotiated if funding is difficult.
