Eylul Meric Darendeli is a qualified integrative psychotherapist, counsellor and psychologist. She has a passion for helping people and she provides her clients a confidential, non- judgemental, accepting and safe space that allow them to be themselves. She aims to make sure that her clients are heard, listened and all emotions are welcomed and explored in a safe environment. She offers psychotherapy sessions in both English and Turkish. She offers action-oriented short term counselling as well as in-depth and long-term therapy sessions.
She is a BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) registered counsellor thus she works within the ethical framework of BACP. She is also a graduate member of the British Psychological Society.
She works with different range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, work or study related stress. She has been successfully helping her clients and working closely with them to identify thinking patterns and values that lead to emotional issues.
Drawing on Person Centred, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Art Therapy models, she works integratively with her clients. She aims to encourage and enable her clients to achieve philosophical shift that increase their happiness.
She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She also holds a master’s degree in Mental Health: Psychological Therapies from Queen Mary University of London where she specialised in clinical psychology and research. Her training included a wide range of therapy approaches, thus she draws upon suitable therapy techniques to address clients’ needs. She also has a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy/ Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy diploma from The College of Cognitive Behavioural Therapies in London.
She has been involved with a variety of charities and workshops and currently works as a volunteer counsellor with young people and adults at Cambridge Regional College.
As part of her work and in accordance with the ethical framework of BACP, she is having regular supervision and continuing her professional development at Cambridge University where she is doing her second master’s degree in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapeutic counselling.
