Camilla is an Integrative Counsellor. Having trained in a number of approaches, she draws upon appropriate techniques and tools to suit each individual client’s needs. Camilla works intuitively, sensitively and creatively, providing her clients with a secure, warm and confidential space in which they can explore difficult feelings and emotions without fear of being judged or of saying the wrong thing.
Camilla believes that everyone has, within themselves, the potential and strength to move beyond painful experiences and patterns. By building a trusting and empowering relationship with her clients she aims to enable them to take those first steps and more, towards a new perspective and a sense of renewal.
Camilla holds a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), abiding by their codes of conduct and ethical framework. She also holds a Bachelors Degree in Art and Design and has completed courses in Art Psychotherapy at Goldsmiths College, City University and Roehampton University. In her experience, Camilla has found that the creative arts can be a valuable way for clients to discover their own ways for free expression when sometimes words may feel too overwhelming.
She has recently volunteered with Blue Smile in Cambridge, providing art and play therapy sessions to primary school children experiencing mental health issues. Camilla is currently employed as a volunteer counsellor at the Cambridge based mental health charity, Lifecraft.
In order to further her training and knowledge and provide the best practice for her clients, Camilla regularly participates in Continuous Professional Development and counselling supervision.
