Alice Gardoni is a Shiatsu Practitioner, accredited and registered with the Shiatsu Society for Shiatsu treatments.
Shiatsu (shi: finger) (atsu: pressure) works along the same principles of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) which is founded on the meridian system of the body, a network of energy pathways. Using the same principles of acupuncture but without needles, Shiatsu is delivered by the therapist applying appropriate levels of pressure with thumbs, palms, elbows, knees on specific acupressure points of the client’s body.
As well as this, the therapist uses a combination of stretching and mobilisation techniques. This treatment is very beneficial and healing for the body as it helps to restore the Full Consciousness of your body and breath with the ability to heal itself.
Shiatsu can be used to
- Relieve and prevent back, neck and shoulder pain
- Relieve headaches and general fatigue
- Promote long-term wellbeing,
- Improve metabolic activity (digestive tract) and circulation
- Stimulate the immune system
- Improve concentration
- Strengthen mind and body and improving overall health
It also acts on the parasympathetic nervous system, lowering brain frequencies leading to a state of deep relaxation and recovery from stress and any other psychological and emotional issues.
Trained in TCM Shiatsu at BodyMindCentre (Brescia, Italy) and in Zen Shiatsu at Il Cerchio (Milan, Italy), she draws from two main approaches: TCM and the 5 Elements of Masunaga. Alice has worked as a shiatsu practitioner for 2 years at wellness centre in Brescia as well as in private practice.
Here are some testimonials from her clients showing the beneficial effects of the treatments:
Laura Bertini (professional dancer) “For years, I have had shiatsu treatments and I find it very good, practical, non-invasive and rebalancing. I love the fact that it is on the body and its energy. When I asked Alice to treat me, I hadn’t any specific problems, only a desire to re-balance and maintain overall health. The treatments with Alice were very deep and slow which I love and I decided that, compared to the treatments I had received in different schools, Alice’s treatments were the most energetic and incisive. In particular, the touch is very slow, relaxing, but (and) goes to deep to really get to the core of any problems. After the treatments, I slept soundly and felt lighter The treatment works both physically and mentally. Each treatment also depends greatly on who is doing it, and with Alice I’ve been particularly well.
Monica Mancini (shop manager) “I was in a very nervous and angry period of my life, and when I started the treatment I shared this with Alice. I realised just how much I had taken on but Alice’s consideration for my feelings and the attention and respect she showed me, helped me so much. During the session, Some Things Very intimate outputs and this helped me shake off year a piece of this armor. I hope that one day I will still be able to SHARE this experience with Alice, and thanks again for what she has done for me. THANK YOU THANK YOU a big hug, I can’t put in words what you have done for me and the respect that I have for you! good luck
Barbara Chmielewska (photographer and interior designer) “I had some treatments with Alice . After the first treatment, I started sleeping better, she helped me relax. I even noticed improvements to my stomach, as I suffer with chronic gastritis. All massages were done with great professionalism and seriousness “
In her previous career, Alice was a graphic designer professional and she holds a degree in Graphic Design & Multimedia from the Academy of Fine Arts in Italy.

Shiatsu releases tension, gives a sense of lightness to the body and mind, improves the mood, reducing stress and stimulating wellness. Shiatsu technique implies a treatment that you receive comfortably dressed on a futon (traditional Japanese) or a mattress” AliceG.
